WHAT STARTED, AS A POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE TO THE GYM HAS NOW BECOME AN OBSESSION! I STARTED TAKING PRIVATE LESSONS AT SOHO DANCE STUDIO ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE A DEAR FRIEND REFERRED ME. I FIGURED I COULD TUNE UP MY SOCIAL DANCE SKILLS WHILE POSSIBLY LOSING A POUND OR TWO. WELL, 12 LBS LATER AND COMPLETELY HOOKED, I AM IN LOVE WITH SOHO DANCE STUDIO. IT MAY SOUND CLICHE, BUT IT REALLY IS MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME. THE STAFF IS FABULOUS, THE OWNERS ARE CONCERNED WITH THEIR STUDENTS' EXPERIENCE, AND THE INSTRUCTORS ARE SECOND TO NONE! BUT THE BEST PART OF ALL IS MAKING NEW FRIENDS. FROM THE SECOND YOU STEP OUT OF THE ELEVATOR, YOU FEEL AT EASE. EVERYONE SEEMS TO GET ALONG SO WELL, WHETHER YOU HAVE BEEN THERE FOR YEARS OR IT'S YOUR FIRST TIME. WE ALL GET TOGETHER FOR BIRTHDAYS AND SOCIALS, PLUS THE SOCIAL EVENTS THAT SOHO STUDIO PUTS ON ARE AMAZING! DEFINITELY LIKE NO OTHER. THEY HAVE A FRESH, NEW, INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO THE WORLD OF DANCE. AND I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM THEIR #1 FAN!

All The Right Moves
Step into SOHO Dance Studio, and you just may kick yourself for not doing it sooner. (It's the fourth dance studio in Manhattan that I've checked out over the years, and without question, the best.) The owners and staff exude warmth and friendliness; the students are welcoming and inclusive. The biggest plus, though, may be the skilled instructors, who are not only inspiring and supportive, but accessible. In eight weeks, I've learned the fundamentals of salsa, merengue, cha cha, and hustle, and I'm eager to continue on with my education. The class packages are an outstanding deal--especially if you take advantage of the practice sessions.

First Rate Dance Studio with a Family Atmosphere
I can't say enough about SoHo Dance. I came to the studio wanting to learn how to dance New York style Salsa on 2. Within months I was not only dancing Salsa on 2, but also found myself hooked on other dances like Cha Cha, Hustle, and Rhumba. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly. The one on one private lessons really helped to accelerate my learning and the group classes helped me meet other people that love to dance. The location is great -- right in the middle of shops, restaurants and bars (for my fellow drivers, you can easily find street parking after 6 pm). This is a fun, down-to-earth dance studio that I would recommend to anyone (beginners and experienced dancers alike).

Fantastic Dance Studio!
SoHo Dance is a wonderful studio in an easy to find location. The instructors are incredibly talented as well as personable. The atmosphere is warm and friendly with a mix of experienced dancers and beginners. SoHo Dance stands out in that the staff and instructors truly care about their students and the art of dance. A fantastic mix of passion and genuine fun -a real gem!

Wonderful Place to Learn Salsa
